About the Author: Embroidery Legacy
Our family business has been active in the embroidery industry since 1958. We’ve done everything from running two commercial embroidery factories (where we produced more than 10 million pieces of embroidered goods per year) to digitizing logos for dozens of fortune 500 companies (including Coca-Cola, Disney, and yes ironically enough…. even John Deere). Today lead by John Deer, the world’s most awarded digitizer and the last living Schiffli master digitizer still alive teaching in North America, our small business is still family-owned and operated. Through quality education, designs, and software, our mission is to help train the next generation of embroiderers and pass on the embroidery knowledge we’ve acquired over the past several decades.

Hi John Deer
Is it possible to receive your free designs another way than face book.
I am not a Face book user( not a fan) is there any other way that I can get your free designs.
I do have a legacy design account, I also have a Hatch Embroidery program which I bought way before I started to watch your You Tube sites , they have been a big help to my Husband and I. They have helped us to navigate the Hatch program.
Thankyou
Love to see the new designs that you post.Embroidery LegacyApril 26, 2022 at 1:29 am - Reply
Hi Gayle, of course! If you click the “download free design” button under each free embroidery design picture on this blog it will download to your computer. Happy stitching 🙂

Hi John – I’m wondering if you will be offering your digitizing course again. This is the course you held about two years ago.
Embroidery LegacyMay 19, 2022 at 1:47 am - Reply
Hi Penelope, No immediate plans to run the Interactive Workshop at this moment, if we assess there is interest we’ll consider running another late in the year.

Thanks for the free designs! I love how your free designs are digitized as well as designs you charge for. Not every embroidery design company does that. I love your designs, and look forward to many more designs from your Oma’s legacy finding their way to my machine. I hope that sentence made sense, it is very convoluted.
Love you!!!

Hi John, I was so surprised when I went looking for penguin designs and couldn’t find any. I had a fleece baby quilt with penguins on it and wanted to create some appliques with penguins. Just thought I would mention it just in case you love penguins. (:
I am thankful for all the free designs you make available to your members. I just downloaded the dove in flight.Embroidery LegacyJanuary 4, 2023 at 1:18 am - Reply
