General Easter Crafts for Preschoolers to Make

These Easter baskets are actually much easier to make than they look perfect for those little Toddler and Preschooler hands this Easter… and your kids will love being involved. Hen Easter Basket (no painting required!) – they make a great table decorations too

We adore these easy Toilet Paper Roll Bunnies– they only take minutes to make and each one will have a quirky little character of it’s own. This really is an easy craft for kids – and super quick too.. and of course “no mess”. Just fill the bottom with treats and then stuff a little tissue paper to secure them. A great low mess activity and an opportunity to practice drawing a bunny face!
A long standing favourite of ours are these Egg Carton Chooks. Easy and fun.. These are another fantsic low mess activity! You don’t even need a black marker to add any features. Just a little felt and glue.
.. so we also had to have a go at turning them into quick Egg Carton Bunnies! Fill with Easter candy and job done!
Joining in with an Easter Parade? Make your own beautiful and easy Easter Bonnets from recycled materials. They really do look great and you can decorate them in whatever way you fancy. Just upcycle newspapers and tissue paper saved from gifts.

We love yarn wrapping activities for preschoolers. Amazing for hand eye co-ordination and concentration and so many cute things to make – such as this adorable pom pom Easter wreath! Also, why not try this popsicle stick chick craft? A great way to explore triangles! All you need are some popsicle sticks (we actually recycle ours from our ice lolly sticks in the summer!) and some construction paper or pretty craft paper. Then add googly eyes and feathers.. and you are all set to get crafty!

Rocking Paper Plate Bunnies– we particularly like these, as the kids can take as long or little time over them as they like. Spend time decorating the grass, or coloring in the bunny.. and add fun little cotton tail details. Fun to play with too!

We are not really a fan of plastic Easter eggs but prefer working with hollow eggs instead. We love decorating REAL eggs.. and though preschoolers and toddlers may not always have the dexterity to work with eggs, we STILL think it is never too early to introduce them. They will love the responsibilty of working with something so precious.. and if they break the egg shell.. does it really matter? Alternatively, some of the egg decorating for preschool ideas below work really well for hard boiled eggs too! Which make a great addition to the Easter Table! Love these kind of hollow egg Easter decorations.

Spotty Eggs– egg decorating doesn’t get much easier than these adorable and quite effective spotty eggs. As mentioned, these are great for hard boiled eggs at the Easter Breakfast table too! These are great low mess activity too!
Drip Paint Eggs – ok, this one is not for the faint hearted.. you will have to love paint to do this one.. but the results are so very pretty!
One of our favourites to do on Easter Sunday… Wax Crayon Eggs. The process is wonderful – watch the crayons melt.. then eat your eggs!
Not disimilar to the Spotty Eggs.. but the same process in reverse – create pretty patterns with this “Paint resist” technique!
