Following its redesign in 2018, the maincubes data center in Amsterdam meets the highest requirements for operational security and data protection – making it a premier location for colocation in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. In 2020, the AMS01 data center underwent a peer review process and received a OCP Ready™ certification for utilizing industry best practices for efficiency and scalability.
The data center was specifically upgraded to potentially run OCP hardware meeting higher demands for server and application power density. This also results in higher cooling requirements.

Reliability
With direct and redundant connections to the utility grid, our Amsterdam data center stands for a fail-safe power supply and high power density with an IT load of up to 20kw per rack.
Energy efficiency
Thanks to completely new cooling units (water based), we achieve above-average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Energy Usage Effectiveness (EUE) values. As a result, you benefit from drastically reduced energy costs.
Global connectivity
Our data center in Amsterdam is connected to the main AMS ring interconnect. Since we are carrier-neutral, you decide which fiber you want your data to travel over.
Physical security
In addition to multi-level access controls and security personnel, a fire alarm system and modernized redundant extinguishing technology ensure comprehensive security around the clock.
Multi-tenant data center
AMS01 is a multi-tenant data center. This means that a large number of customers use the colocation. Here, these customers operate their IT infrastructure independently, but benefit from shared resources such as networks, power supply and physical security.
