Then use a really sharp knife to cut them into individual slices. It is also helpful to spray the knife with non stick cooking spray. Make sure to wipe it clean to ensure there isn’t any build up.

  • Combine Ingredients –Combine the ingredients until just combined. Overmixing will result in the texture being hard.
  • Pressing mixture into pan –Don’t pack the mixture into the pan. Firmly compacting the ingredients will make the bars lose their softness. This can be avoided by simply not pressing firmly into the pan.

How to Decorate Christmas Tree Rice Krispie Treats:

  • Sprinkles – You can use any type of sprinkles to decorate your Christmas Tree. We used red and green but you can use any color.
  • Gel Icing – These Christmas Trees Rice Krispie would be fun to add some think gel icing. This will make it look like there is garland on your tree.
  • Green Food Coloring – You can use any color of food coloring or you can leave them plain.
  • Different Shapes – We cut out the trees shapes into triangles, but you can easily use different shapes of cookie cutters.
  • Powdered Sugar – Dust the trees with powdered sugar to make it look like snow.

How to Store:

Store any leftover Rice Krispie treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Do not store these treats in the refrigerator. They are best left to cool at room temperature so that they remain gooey and delicious.
