What You’ll Need

First, gather your supplies:

Yarn:I’m using Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, which is a light worsted-weight yarn. But feel free to use any yarn you like from your stash. Consider bright spring colors, Easter pastels, or even some muted neutrals.

Hook:A size G (4.0 mm) works well for this yarn. Choose a smaller hook for thinner and a larger one for thicker yarn.

Other Notions:scissors and a yarn needle for weaving in your ends.

Finishing

After weaving in the ends, lightly block your eggs. To block, lightly dampen the eggs and shape them as desired before laying them flat to dry.

Decorating Your Eggs

Now, on to the fun part – adding little details with embroidery!

You can embroidery stripes with the running stitch, polka dots with French knots, or tiny flowers with the Laisy Daisy stitch.
