CUSTOMERS of Verizon were struggling to access their mobile carrier during a widespread outage earlier today.

Cities across the nation were experiencing issues with their mobile phones, 5G Home Internet, and signal access.

Verizon users took to Downdetector to report problems with their carrier, and thousands reported being impacted by the outage.

The problem appears to be resolved as reports have plummeted on Downdetector.

    Service is 'fully restored'

    A spokesperson for Verizon confirmed to The U.S. Sun that service has been fully restored.

    "Some customers in South Florida -- including the Fort Myers area -- may have experienced a brief disruption of their wireless service for about an hour this morning," said Chris Serico, Verizon's senior communications manager.

    "Service has since been fully restored."
